Whisman Giordano happily sent support to one of Delaware’s oldest non-profits, Children & Families First. Their mission is to champion children & families using evidence-based, equity-centered, & innovative approaches. Their history is an interesting one. In 1884, concerned community members came together to help meet the needs of their neighbors struggling with the lasting impacts of the Panic of 1873 economic crisis. Over the years, Children & Families First has become a statewide organization, engaging more than 25,000 children, youth, and families each year to create diverse, healthy, and resilient communities where all children and families thrive.
