We are celebrating Edward Devenny, CPA, for being honored as a 2021 DBT40, as chosen by the Delaware Business Times. According to the Delaware Business Times website, the DBT40 honor “is awarded to a select group of the region’s best and brightest young professionals, all under the age of 40, who are making a difference with their intelligence, initiative, and innovation.”

Ed is a Manager at Whisman Giordano and has a 17-year career in Delaware providing accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to local businesses and individuals. He is a husband, father of twins, community volunteer, and a graduate of Widener University in Chester, PA. He shared what this honor means to him, “Being selected as a DBT40 honoree is both incredible and humbling. I consider accounting important work because of the trust placed in me, and I will continue to deliver for clients each and every day.” He added, “I benefitted from impactful mentors along the way, and I believe that being recognized as a DBT40 will signal to those early in their career that they can turn to me.”

President and Managing Director Joseph V. Giordano, CPA states, “We couldn’t be happier for Ed. He’s that human you want on your team. He has all the necessary technical skills and, most importantly, he’s a reliable, honest, and deeply good person. I have served on the selection committee in the past and know, first-hand, how competitive this award is. He truly has earned this recognition.”
